All about the ultrasounds

I've officialy hit my 12 week mark which ends my first trimester! So far, I figure that I'm pretty lucky considering there has been a complete absence of puking and the so called "morning sickeness" thus far. Compared to my other girlfriends who are pregnant at the same time as me this has been a cake walk compared to them.

I've had the 8 week ultra sound:

and the 12 week ultrasound!!!

I still find it hard at time to truly believe that I'm pregnant... I don't really "feel" pregnant yet. I'm sure my time will come.

Truly the only real things that have made me realize I'm actually pregnant is the fact that I have to pee every ten minutes and that I literally can't control my emotions.
I sort of feel bad for my husband... especially that day where I cried over dog sweaters for a good 45 minutes, and when I say cry I really mean blubber like a baby, it was disgusting. lol. However, the sweaters did look decent on the dogs for about 10 minutes.

The day we took the test 10/17/10

So I was a little unsure of whether or not we would even be able to get pregnant in the first place with all of my "womanly issues" and the fact that my doctor had said that I would more than likely "need assistance". So I wasn't getting my hopes up after missing my period.
But one day I was feeling the "pressure" of being pregnant and for all of those ladies out there who are the first of their siblings to get married and the last of their friends to have kids... you know what I'm talking about. Your parents are constantly calling you asking if you’re going to give them a grandbaby because they are jealous of all their other first time grandparent peers. And your friends are ready to return the favor of buying you all of those noise maker gifts that you happened to get for their kids. So.... on that day 10/17/10;

My father sent me a picture message of my mother holding a baby with the text "we are waiting" under it

my sister in law called to say she was pregnant with her fourth child.

my cousin (and best friend) was asking on a daily basis when I was going to produce a baby for her to hold... to the point where if I ever made the statement "oh my gosh, guess what" it was never returned with a " you got a promotion?" or "you found the best sale in town?" but it was usually followed with a "YOUR PREGNANT?

my best girlfriend continued to say how she couldn't WAIT to start making the baby blanket and rub my pregnant tummy. lol

and my wonderful and oh so loving husband was so excited at the idea of a baby that he was always by my side at every stomach pain I had asking "is that our little something" always with a smile and a questioning look.

So.. that is how my day started and the whole reason I went to purchase the pregnancy test in the first place. I walked in... saw a good sale and got 2 for the price of one. wa-la. - I was pregnant.
